A new construction home in Vineyard Haven!

When Martha’s Vineyard was still in its infancy, streets and roads needed naming. The story behind Capde Lane is that there was actually an individual by the name of Chapdelane who was to attend the town meeting regarding naming streets. He had his own idea about what the road would be called but because he wasn’t able to arrive in time, the town had already decided to use his name as the road’s name. His name’s coincidental spelling resulted in the street name for this project:

Right in the middle of Chapde Lane, among the trees, there’s a beautiful private estate. As you enter this area, you’ll start to notice well-kept properties.
